EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
• Based on the standard Clio 172, the ‘Cup’ model featured lowered and stiffened suspension, unique alloy wheels, a revised front splitter, rear spoiler, thinner window glass, and reduced soundproofing.
• This example is finished in Mondial Blue, over a modified interior featuring black and grey Corbeau ClubSport bucket seats, Sabelt harnesses, an aftermarket gear knob, a Sabelt three-spoke steering wheel with 12 o’clock marker, and a partial bolt-in roll cage.
• It rides on recently refurbished 16-inch Speedline Turini wheels, wrapped with almost new Hankook Ventus Prime 3 tyres.
• Modifications include advancing the engine timing to ‘Group N’ spec by RS Tuning, a custom air intake, a Clio 182 exhaust manifold, ported and polished inlets, a Direnza alloy radiator, a Whiteline Performance rear anti-roll bar, AW Motorsport HT leads, Pure Motorsport top mounts, Cooksport springs with OEM Cup dampers, an uprated dog bone mount, Powerflex rear axle bushes, and a K-Tec Racing Stealth exhaust system with a sports catalyst.
• A dynograph printout from RS Tuning shows 189. 5hp at the flywheel at the time of tuning.
• The original rear bench seat has been removed, so there are no back seats.
• Stopping power comes from Brembo High Carbon brake discs with Carbon Lorraine RC5+ pads.
• Accompanying the vehicle will be the original owner’s manuals, the V5C, 2 keys and a collection of invoices and MOT test certificates.
CONDITION
• Please refer to the photos to assess the exterior and interior condition.
• A full PDR (paintless dent repair) treatment was carried out in 2024, so there are no dings in the finish;
• The bonnet and front bumper are lightly stone chipped, with a couple of heavier imperfections on the bumper; the rear bumper has been freshly resprayed.
• The common issue of corrosion around the rear arches and fuel filler flap are clean and rust free.
• There is some general age related wear and tear to the interior plastics.
• Overall this is a very clean usable example for its year and mileage and has clearly been cared for in its 21 years.
• The most recent MOT test was conducted on 18 October 2024 at 91, 469 miles, which was a first-time pass with no advisories.
• New genuine Renault carpet mats were fitted 30/ 11/ 23

• The engine oil and filter were last changed in May 2024 at 90, 800 miles.
• The timing belt, dephaser pulley, auxiliary belt drive kit, and water pump were replaced by the Renault specialist Diamond Motors in January 2022.
• Other recent maintenance has included replacement of the injectors, coil pack, bottom arms and anti-roll bar bushes, as well as the gear linkage bushes in 2023 and the rear brake calipers in 2021
• The thermostat was replaced along with the coolant on 10/ 03/ 2020
• The clutch, rear main crankshaft oil seal & gearbox oil were replaced at 84, 444 miles on 28/ 10/ 19
• The battery was replaced on 09/ 07/ 22
• The primary lambda sensor has recently been replaced
