Reluctant sale due to downsizing. Owned since July 2003. Always garaged, although little used for last few years. Looking for new owner to give it some TLC and enjoy it as much as we have.
German built (1965), English registered (1966) and have the original green registration logbook. Owned for 20 years, previous owner for over 10 years and 5 previous owners in total before us.
Mainly Canterbury Pitt interior with some additional Devon pieces, including pop top. Mainly stock (apart from engine/ gearbox see below), including reduction boxes etc.
Original clock and Bluespot radio (disconnected) and more modern radio/ cassette fitted under dashboard with speakers in front and rear. 12 Volt Electrics.
Seatbelts fitted (2 in front/ 2 in rear)
Many service/ work bills and MOTs going back to the 1980s
Bare metal restoration by Alan Schofield Motor Body Repairs in 1992 – Have Photos/ Bills. And according to the previous owner, again in 2001 by a Company in Edinburgh using replacement panels from Alan Schofield. Bus still solid although some paint is starting to blister and bubble, with some surface rust (please see pictures).
Replacement 1600cc (Used with new valves - serial number #AD) and clutch fitted in 1994 – (Approx 70, 000 miles since engine fitted) - Current mileage showing approx. 97, 000.
Replacement used gearbox in 2008.
Tow bar fitted 2009 to tow small trailer.
New front kingpins/ rear hub seals 2011
Interior door cards, front seat covers, carpets etc replaced in 2013 (originals kept although tatty).
Replacement exhaust 2016.
Mainly stood in garage for last few years, although has been regularly started and given a run, runs and drives well.
A few other bits/ spares come with the bus including period gas heater, additional door cupboard we removed, period rear ash tray.
