Description
Car has been built as a track car. In 2020 i carried out a lot of work especially to the engine although the internals are completely standard.
A low mileage solid shell which is becoming rare these days. All sensible modifications, not chasing big horsepower like a lot of cars. Always well maintained, and all high end parts fitted to make the car better.
Engine modifications-
Updated fuel pump
Wide mouth decat
Milltek cat back 2. 5” exhaust
HKS air filter with silicone intake hoses
Forge blow off valve
RCM air pump delete kit
RCM swirl flap delete intakes
RCM baffled sump along with RCM Oil catch tank with braided sump return line.
RCM equal length manifold that has been heat wrapped. Have photos of it without wrapping.
HKS oil filter
Cosworth Kevlar timing belt(fitted in 2021) along with blueprint water pump and tensioner
All metal cooling pipes replaced along with the o-rings for the coolant cross over pipe.
New dipstick tube
Blitz racing alloy radiator
HKS spark plugs.
Andy Forrest mapped the vehicle twice, first was a basic remap after the fuel pump and exhaust was fitted. The car has a high and low boost setting and also a launch setting which I have used once, but feels a little harsh on the transmission/ engine.
The second time was to have the air pump and swirl flaps mapped out so it would run perfectly. It’s mapped to Tesco 99 and I’ve never used low octane fuel since to avoid detonation. Although it is a track car I’ve never revved it over 5500rpm as the Tourque disappears after this and was advised by Andy that this is the cause of my he 2. 5L issues with the open deck blocks. Having mechanical sympathy helps.
Brakes- Standard callipers
Front discs are Godspeed 2 piece with Performance friction pads
Rear discs are do cell with performance friction pads.
Braided hoses fitted and motul motorsport brake fluid.
Suspension-
BC Coilovers all lock nuts free
Whiteline front and rear anti roll bars with poly bush d rubbers
Polybushed steering rack mounts
White line front antil lift kit
Whiteline fully adjustable rear arms
Whiteline track rod ends ( lock nuts free)
Whiteline bottom ball joints.
Team dynamic wheels with new Nankang ar1 track tyres
I haven’t carried out the alignment since the rear arms have been fitted so will need toe/ camber etc done. But nothing is seized.
Subframe has been off buffed down zinc primer and painted.
Exterior- Singular motorsport bonnet vents
Standard bonnet catch done away with for pin type locks
Rear wing is a genuine STI S202 carbon fibre one, with slight blemish. It has the Sti hologram. You can’t be these new from sti without proof of ownership of an s202.
Front lower splitter (unpainted, has a crack in it due to me letting it down without blocks under the wheels.
Older style rear lights fitted(still have clear versions)
Older style orange side repeaters fitted)
Interior- stripped out as you can see, has a proper motorsport safety devices cage installed. I unfortunately lost a couple of my interior trim pieces when we moved house but as being a track car doesn’t matter so much. Could be found online easy enough.
One bride bucket seat and a spar o racing seat both in good condition. Along with harnesses.
Airbag light is on due to aftermarket steering wheel. Owned the car for well over 10 years, it's always been stored inside. Not the usual rotter, back arches are solid, cleaned out all debris and sealed them when fitting my cage. Vehicle hasn’t been used properly since before covid and it’s time for it to go.
The couple of points to note are-
Cracked front splitter which was my own doing
Front bumper has a little bit of lacquer peel at once side.
The front lower crossmember does have corrosion.
Obviously being a track car it has no mot.
