Description
Up for sale is my 1991 BMW E30 320i Touring. This meticulously maintained example boasts incredibly low mileage (41, 300) and benefits from a recent 2. 5L engine swap (M20B25), giving it a noticeably more eager character. The replacement engine itself had only 70, 000 miles and a compression test revealed healthy readings of 150-155 psi across all cylinders.
Thousands have been invested in recent maintenance and upgrades, including:
* Engine: Full engine re-gasket with valve stem seals, timing belt, water pump, Mahle thermostat.
* Cooling System: Radiator, full system flush.
* Fuel System: Mahle fuel filter, 6x upgraded Bosch Gen3 disc injectors.
* Drivetrain: FTE clutch slave cylinder, clutch release bearing, pilot bearing, gearbox mounts, input shaft bearing (preventatively installed), center support bearing (CSB), guibo.
* Brakes: All flex brake lines (ATE rear, TRW front).
* Electrical: Bremi distributor cap and rotor (replacing the original 1991 unit), spark plugs, Exide battery.
* Suspension: Lemförder ball joints and Lemförder bushes pressed into the original front control arms.
* Other: Continental auxiliary belts, serviced with Mann oil and air filters and Millers CFS 5w40 oil.
The interior is in excellent condition, with seats showing minimal wear. The dashboard is in perfect condition, with no cracks or blemishes. All the interior trim is in good condition, and the headlining is taut and free from sagging. There is a minor stain on the boot carpet, but otherwise, the carpets are clean and well-maintained.
The exterior paint presents well for its age, with no significant blemishes. There are a few minor stone chips and age-related marks consistent with normal use, but no major dents or scratches. The bonnet has been repainted at some point in the past and the finish isn't perfect, would benefit from some correction. All exterior trim is present and in excellent condition. The car has been meticulously cared for and always garaged.
It's becoming increasingly difficult to find examples in this condition, especially with such low mileage. Furthermore, this car is exceptionally clean underneath; the original underseal is still visible with no undercoating to hide anything, a testament to its careful ownership. Always garaged and used only in the salt-free months on dry days, this E30 has been cherished and protected from the elements.
Originally registered in the Isle of Man (photos available of the car on its original IOM number plate), this E30's MOT history starts from 2016 when it was first registered in the UK. A recent MOT identified a minor gearbox oil leak from the breather; a brand-new, upgraded OEM breather will be installed.
