The first model of the Mazda RX 7 is characterized by original lines.
The long sloping hood, the short rear quarters and the rear window that also serves as a trunk lid give the car an original look.
Models up to 1981 can be recognized by the metal bumpers. The front suspension consists of McPhersons struts with stabilizer bar and a strong live axle with transverse stabilizer at the rear. There are disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.
The capacity of the engine is 573cc per chamber. The power is 105 hp. The car had steel rims as standard. The single double exhaust on the right is also characteristic.
We were able to purchase this Mazda RX 7 from a true enthusiast who wanted to downsize his collection due to lack of space.
The best part of this purchase was the test drive, I had never taken such a long test drive with the previous owner! He kept driving and has cherished the car with a lot of love in recent years. And that is noticeable when you drive this car. A QSP racing steering wheel has been mounted for a better sitting position for the previous owner, but the original steering wheel is also still present, see the photos. During the period that the previous owner had the car, everything was replaced, including shock absorbers, coil springs, clutch, oil cooler and more. No oil leakage, no water leakage. The exhaust may be a point of attention in due course, the carpet on the left at the entry has some wear. Body is very neat, except for a very small blister on the left wheel rim.
