Description
This is my stunning 1972 Toyota Celica 1600 ST in original colour of Turquoise Blue. It is an early car known as a "flat light" due to the shape of the rear light clusters with the fuel filler on the rear panel behind a flap. Later series 1 cars had re-designed "bubble lights" with the fuel filler on the near side rear pillar.
The car has covered a mere 49, 000 miles. The Cobra slot mag alloys were fitted by the Toyota dealership from new, which is a very cool touch.
This is an original UK car and has been garaged all it's life. It was given a full Ziebart rust prevention treatment from new which has helped the car survive so well.
This really is a beautiful car and very rare these days as any Toyota enthusiast will tell you.
Although I live in Cornwall, the car is actually stored in a high quality classic car storage facility in Gloucestershire in climate controlled conditions and kept on a trickle charge. If you would like to view the car, your trip will be to Gloucestershire rather than deepest Cornwall, so for most people, not quite so far to travel.
There is a large history folder with the car, which is always a bonus.
If you fancy a peek or a chat about the car, please message me or even better, give me a call.
This car was supposed to be my keeper but as so often happens, another car has popped up, meaning this one would have to go if I were to go for that one.
The original steering wheel is now back on the car as I prefer it to the one in the pics and the chrome bonnet front edge trim has been re-fitted. The black jollop under the bonnet is actually the original Ziebart treatment. The original paint is underneath it and this can be cleaned off by the new owner if you prefer the original factory look. The chrome sill trims were removed many years ago to prevent them trapping water and causing the usual rust issues.
PX possible but only if it's something I like : )
Please note my private number plate CEL 7K cost a fair few bob and I am not including it in the sale price. However, this could be worked into the deal if required.
