Description
Due to a change in circumstances, my well-loved ‘california’ traveller is up for sale. It’s been my daily driver over the last 2 years, and has barely skipped a beat. This car has NEVER been welded, and all sills, arches and floor pans are intact. Structurally very solid. Paintwork is worn with some surface rust, but it is the original paint! Lots of work has been completed over the time I’ve owned it, including:
- Complete wood replacement last summer including veneer over the back panels (so would be easy enough to remove).
- Alternator conversion.
- Electronic ignition.
- Front disc brake conversion and radial tyres fitted for better handling in wet iconditions.
- Engine swap at 82, 800 miles on the odometer- has not been driven regularly since, yet starts on the button.
- Facet fuel pump and regulator fitted.
- New fuel pump, water pump, radiator and exhaust.
- Bluetooth stereo and hidden speakers. This is a truly honest example of a traveller- it is a slightly scruffy (patina!), amazingly reliable car. It is a perfect first classic or daily driver, which has been tastefully modified to be a true joy to drive.
