History
This early MGB roadster has only had two keepers, for a recorded 27, 526 miles. Much of it is original and in very sound condition but a substantial amount of restoration work has also been done. The first owner had the car from new, the second recorded the work having been undertaken, which is listed below. This MGB was bought to enjoy but, unfortunately, circumstances have changed. The car starts and runs well but has not been put on the road in current ownership and now needs a new keeper.
Condition
In the classic finish of red with a black red-piped interior, this MGB runs on Minator alloy wheels with knock-on hubs and chromed two eared spinners. It comes with a white factory hard top. A fully reconditioned Gold Seal engine with 5 bearing crank was fitted in 1990 at 11, 000 miles. The carburettors were rebuilt at the same time, with new jets installed in 2019. During a full refresh just 367 miles back the following were fitted:
Offside sill and floorpan
Brake servo, pipes and hoses
Front discs, calipers, pads and pins
Rear drums, shoes and cylinders

Appeal
Of all the MGBs, the Series 1 is the car to own and this classic chrome bumper roadster has all the attributes of a pull-handle car bar the handles! It can either be enjoyed as it is or as the basis for a limited amount of further work to bring it up to A1 standard.
