Description
Extremely rare Daimler Super V8, LWB 4-litre Supercharged. If you are not sure how rare this car is please look up and research.
These are a piece of motoring history, which command massive price tags, continuing to rise in price. These rare, classic Daimlers don’t come around often.
Not only a chance to own a usable, driveable classic, whatever you do improvement-wise will add to the value of this vehicle.
Super-powerful engine, with 0 to 60 in five seconds, even by today’s standards, it’s outstanding.
It’s a good place to start if you want to own one. I have covered just under 100 miles in this vehicle. It sits comfortably on a motorway and also at the right temperature in traffic.
The good points:
The rarity of the car; an appreciating classic
It has a year’s MOT.
It drives, and can be driven away.
The body work and underneath are not terrible.
Great investment to become a truly outstanding classic.
The price; there’s not another available with this mileage and running with an MOT at this price, so it’s the cheapest Daimler of this model in the UK. Look at the prices of these Super Eights.
The bad points:
Only has one key.
Headlining sagging.
Does have some corrosion underneath as stated in the MOT. It’s a 27-year-old vehicle.
Two replaced front wings that are a different colour to the rest of the vehicle.
It was sold through probate, so only has V5 and MOT. All previous MOTs verify its mileage.
Brakes are spongy, clearly working as it’s just passed the MOT before I took the vehicle on.
It’s worth every penny of the asking price and some.
I’ve been as honest as I can with the vehicle, having driven the car for those miles, it’s driven smoothly through the gears and delivers immense power.
I’m in no hurry to sell, so please only message me if you are genuinely interested. I’ll be happy to answer any questions.
Delivery can be arranged anywhere in mainland UK at extra cost. A non-refundable deposit paid, enough to cover petrol and train ticket back. Personally I think it’s always best the buyer comes and sees the vehicle for themselves. Bearing in mind it’s the best part of thirty years old.
It’s not the best as it is, but it’s the best-priced and has the making of a true classic, that will never be made again by Daimler or Jaguar. Short video available on request (it’s slightly too long to add to the listing).
The car is in Hammersmith, west London
