1977 Land Rover Series 3
3. 5L Rover V8 with a 4 speed manual.
Grey with full black canvas hood.
Defender seats fitted to the front, pair of fold down benches in the back.
This vehicle has just undergone some light reconditioning works after a couple of years off the road in storage:
New items fitted include:
- Pair of refurbished SU carburettors.
- Electronic distributor.
- Viper ignition coil
- HT leads
- Fuel tank
- Fuel pump, hoses and filter.
- New rear crossmember
- All Wheel Trim full black canvas hood.
- Wolf wheels.
- Oil and filter change.
- All other levels checked and topped up as required.
The previous owners had the engine refreshed during his ownership, these works included the following:
- Pair of head gaskets
- Full set of piston rings
- Timing chain
- Water pump
- Skimmed heads
- Valve stem seals.
As you can see this Landy has been well maintained and is in very good order.
It starts well and runs smoothly with lots of power.
It has high ratio Range Rover classic differentials fitted so cruises at speed.
Brand new black canvas roof and set of new wolf wheels, tyres all matching and like new.
Need to be seen and heard! It sounds savage with a custom exhaust.
The heater works great as do all the lights, gauges etc. Servo assisted brakes so it stops as it should.
