Extremely rare Vincent Black Shadow C Series from 01/ 1951 - the fastest production bike in the world, that's a fact not a slogan! Philip Vincent's 'Black Shadows' are legendary motorbikes produced by manufacturer/ rider Philip Vincent from 1948 onwards. His aim was to build the fastest motorbikes in the world. The Black Shadow is considered to be the first Superbike. The A and B Series were the first, but the high point was the C Series, the most accomplished launched in 1948. The 998cc V-twin engine was the most powerful on the market at the time, enabling the machine to reach speeds of 125mph (over 200kph). Apart from two minor defects on the fuel tank, the paintwork and chromework are in excellent condition.
