Description
Welsh grey, long wheel base (109") Genuine Series II from 1961, not many of the utilities left as most where used to death. Chassis number: 00200.
2. 25 petrol with upgraded weber carb and recent tune up by local specialist, standard 4 speed manual gearbox. Drives lovely plenty of power and doesn't wobble the steering wheel down the road.
Recent front tyres, was told the engine was rebuilt in circa 2000, however no paperwork to prove - it does run lovely. Coolant, engine oil and filter changed last month.
Had quite a bit of welding in its past unfortunately, however its solid and got 12 months MOT, even though its tax and MOT exempt.
Needs door tops and does leak a bit of oil (as all Landy's of the age do) and some of the paint work is cracking in places. The bulkhead has some surface rust, however nothing major and has been patched in the past.
History from circa 2000, was resprayed grey (from red) and lightly restored in 2017 over 2 years, where it had all new copper brake lines, all new brakes, new heavy duty steel wheels, chassis welding/ plating, newer bulkhead, new wiring loom and lights.
Selling as it doesn't get used as much as I'd like and I have other projects. Please call Will on the details below. Not interested in offers. Thanks for viewing. Has a certain charm to it, an old, slow Land Rover, incredibly versatile and generally useful for weekends, shows, Green Laning or even tip-runs.
The upgraded Weber carb gives it some more pep. Always gets nice comments from people, out and about.
