for sale my 2006 Suzuki GSXR 1000 K6. i purchased this and another bike from the wife of my friend who sadly passed away two years ago. he was a lifelong motorcycle racer and this was one of his bikes. it was purchased new by him in 2006 and then spent six years being campaigned at the TT and other courses and clocked up about 3800 miles in that time. i have all the dates and finish positions noted down for the TT's. the highest was a 31st in 2011. all the bodywork apart from the tank was removed and stored away and race panels fitted. the same for the silencer. i have now put back on all the panelwork and exhaust, repainted the wheels and put the bike back on the road. it has covered about 350 miles and rides superbly. you wouldn't know it had been raced though if you've ridden one of these then i suppose in comparison this one might be a bit more free revving. the cables have been removed from the exhaust valve and a small box fitted to turn out the F1 light. i have the valve cables and also the rear pillion seat pad. the front forks have Maxton cartridges installed, the new Metzeler tyres have covered the mileage that i have done and the rear shock is new as he had a Maxton unit on for racing but that had been swapped when i got the bike. if you want an ex-TT race bike for the kudos or just simply to own a standard GSXR 1000 K6 then this is really worth a look. i have both keys, the original paperwork and the riders manual. selling as i just cant ride bikes like this anymore, i need something with a less aggressive riding position. i have even fitted the footpeg lowering blocks to make it a better position
note. there are some marks and chips in the tank paintwork from careless filling the tank at races but they are not too bad and might touch in.
