Description

his stately Snipe 80 saloon, believed to be the only one left on the road in the UK, was registered in March 1933 and has been the subject of a photographic nut-and-bolt restoration over the course of 14 years. The car is showing 63, 461 miles on its odometer. As an historic vehicle, the Humber is MoT and Tax-exempt.

During World War Two, the car was used as a tow machine for a garage and continued in this capacity after the conflict, until being purchased by a new owner. It then spent a period in barn storage before its restoration began in 2014, a process that took several years.

Documentation includes the V5C, photographs of the restoration (some in large format laminated form) along with some period images, 1935-36 AA handbook, The Motor book of prices for 1936 cars, Humber Snipe and Pullman instruction manual, 1933 Humber sales catalogue and coachwork booklet, 1930s spare parts catalogues and a Made in Nottinghamshire: The Motor Car Manufacturing Heritage book
