Very rare Mk3 1. 3 GL (and believed 1 owner from new)
This is a total time warp car.
Last used on the road in June 1998. The owner left it in the garage after his wife died and it's remained there ever since.
Condition:
- Totally original
- Very, very, very solid
- Velour interior - AS NEW. Fabric has never been sat on (Seat covers now removed - fitted from day 1).
- Spare wheel unused on road (I fitted it due to a perished tyre).
- Inside boot area - Brand new.
- Spare wheel tub - Brand new
- Headlining - Brand new
- Original dealer plates / stickers
- Original Ford LW/ MW radio
- Original period "Escort" Mud flaps
A recently leaky garage roof has caused flaky paint and some surface rust. Will need paintwork. But the car is incredibly solid and NOT rotten.
I can see 2 bits of welding required:
- 1 x localised area at the bottom of left hand front wing (pictured). Looks be the wing itself.
- Corner by the battery tray, needing a small plate letting in.
- I've not washed or cleaned it so comes "as is" with cobwebs and dust.
- I've not tried to start it.
- It's all there and totally complete.
- All tyres are fully pumped up and hold air.
- There are remnants of the sheets that covered it stuck to it (which explains some of the photos!)
There is no V5 (I wont apply for one as would add another owner)
Keys are with me and full receipt is given. I understand it was owned from new but I can't check to prove this so please do bare that in mind. Please understand there is no reason to disbelieve 1 owner, but I cannot prove it.
It shows up on the DVLA MOT check website so they still have it recorded.
