This Mustang Hardtop was specified from the factory with Medium Ivy Gold vinyl upholstery as shown by trim code ‘2G’, and a ‘C’ code 289-cubic inch two-barrel V8, coupled to a three-speed manual gearbox.
This example is finished in the appealing hue of Lime Gold Metallic with contrasting dark green metallic twin racing stripes, over a black and green vinyl-trimmed interior, featuring body-coloured body panels and trim elements, and chrome trim highlights.
It rides on a set of 15-inch Torque Thrust alloy wheels finished in Lime Gold Metallic with anodised lips.
Equipment includes a wood-rimmed steering wheel, push-out front quarter light windows, and heater and ventilation controls.
This example has been fitted with a custom 2. 5-inch stainless-steel exhaust system, a larger aluminium radiator, a chrome Ford Racing air filter housing, a Ford performance air filter, chrome rocker covers, Morosa HT leads, and an HEI distributor.
The car comes with a hard-back photo book of the restoration, and a folder containing a selection of maintenance invoices from 2021 and 2024.
One ignition key is included in the sale.

A full respray was carried out as part of the restoration, the seats have been replaced with black vinyl-trimmed units, and the original door cards and headlining are showing some discolouration due to age.
The handbrake cable needs to be replaced, though this part will be included in the sale, and the temperature gauge is inoperative. This will also be included in the sale.
The car’s last safety inspection (not MOT test) was carried out in April 2024, which resulted in advisories for the handbrake cable needing replacement, and the temperature gauge being inoperative. A working one will also be supplied.
The most recent maintenance was carried out in April 2024 at an indicated 3, 292 miles by Clydesdale Classic Cars, which consisted of a new HEI distributor being fitted, the carburettor being rebuilt, new spark plugs and leads, a Ford performance air filter and housing fitted, new upper ball joints installed, new lower suspension arms, a four wheel alignment, and a carburettor spacer installed to stop heat soak from the engine.
Restorative maintenance includes a bare-metal respray with any bodywork damage repaired beforehand, including slight bubbling on the tailgate and right-hand rear wheel arch being rectified, new tyres being fitted, the gearbox rebuilt, a new clutch installed, the larger aluminium radiator and hoses installed, a new custom 2. 5-inch stainless-steel exhaust fitted, new front shock absorbers and springs fitted, a new starter motor and solenoid, new chromework all-round, new valve covers, a new dual brake master cylinder, a brake hose being replaced, the timing set, and new fan belts, fuel lines, seat belts, window mechanisms, body rubbers, battery and coil, anti-roll bar bushes and steering wheel. This example was manufactured in Dearborn, Michigan, and was imported from Illinois, USA, to the UK in 2021, where it has been with myself and second UK-based owner for two and a half years.
