Description
1972 MG Midget Lenham Le Mans
Ground up rebuild 2018-2020 for historic racing (HSCC Road Sports Series) but since completion only used for two seasons of hillclimbs and sprints. The car is in immaculate condition and runs superbly. Specification as follows:
• 1293cc engine built by JS Motorsport and producing around 115BHP.
• Standard ration gearbox rebuilt with Helix rally clutch.
• Uprated alloy radiator.
• Maniflow exhaust system.
• 3:9 differential.
• Dual circuit brakes.
• Foam filled safety fuel tank.
• Uprated suspension in standard configuration to historic racing specification.
• Yokohama A048 tyres.
• Tillet seat with OMP harness.
• Plumbed in fire extinguisher.
• Rear roll cage currently fitted but front section included.
The car is road registered with V5 in my name showing historic vehicle status. The private plate is not included so the car would revert to its ‘K’ plate upon sale.
This car would be perfect for either historic racing or hillclimbs and sprints which is what I have used it for over the last two seasons. It is currently useable on the road but may benefit from a few refinements such as carpet/ soundproofing if this was its intended use.
