Description
192cc air-cooled four stroke flat twin engine, shaft driven (very similar to a BMW). One of only 1500 or so built worldwide. Current V5 with one previous owner.
Bought 20 years ago by my Dad who then lost interest and stored it in his dry vehicle store. He has now decided it's time for it to find a new home, so he and my partner have recommissioned it.
As far as we're aware, it still has its original paint with the odd minor rust bubble and blemish in places. The original metal engine cowling is still in place, which is a bit rare as most go missing or are replaced with fibreglass copies.
The chrome and wheels are a little pitted in places but are perfectly usable as is. The carbs & tank have been cleaned, and a cork tap stopper replaced, before filling her with fresh fuel and starting her up.
She starts, runs idle, and rides very well considering she's nearly 67 years old. Brakes, clutch, and electrics all work as they should. Oils have been replaced, and the old 'dynamo' system replaced with a more reliable 6 volt system. The bike would benefit from the carbs tuning up.
With the bike comes a box of information and some spares including:
Original owners manual
Parts lists
Numerous copies of the LE Club newsletters
Bag of carburettor spares
An original and unused Lucas battery (never filled with acid)
Spare parts & fittings, plugs, points and a spare tyre.
A lovely little bike. If you've any questions please get in touch. Viewings welcome. Collection only from Whitchurch, Shropshire.
