Description

This is a beautifully cared for example of a luxury 4x4 vehicle.
The bodywork is in fantastic condition with only one mark on the drivers side rear door to note. Passenger side wheel has some curb marks. The others all all in very good condition.
The interior is in amazing condition with very little wear in the usual places you'd expect to see from normal use. The steering wheel still has good grain showing on the leatherwork, seat bolsters and arm rest show barely any wear.
The previous owner purchased that car from his father in law who'd had it from new. They'd both kept the vehicle garaged when not in use.
The car has had servicing performed at John Clarke Aberdeen BMW and Douglass Stirling BMW at the following intervals:
13k (oil), 14k (vehicle check & brake fluid), 22k (oil & filters), 34k (brake fluid), 37k (oil & filters), 42k (front brakes), 65k (brake fluid), 79k (oil & filters), 85k (brake fluid) & 95k (full service, oil, brake fluid, brake pads). I have the original invoice for this service in the folder). I have a printout of the BMW digital service record along with the fully stamped service book and invoices for the most recent work carried out.
The vehicles most recent service was performed by an ex-BMW technician/ independent specialist, which included a few additional maintenance items such as replacement Bosch AGM battery, replacement glow plugs and preheating relay, replacement EGR valve along with an oil service, brake fluid change, and safety check.
I've owned the car since October. During this period I've replaced the two rear tyres with new Continental Sportcontact 5 run flat tyres (RFT) (star rated). Both front tyres are also Continental Sportcontact 5 RFT (star rated) as recommended standard fitment by BMW.
I've had the transfer box fluid changed, and air-conditioning pressure tested and re-gassed as it didn't work when I purchased the car, both carried out by ex-BMW technician at Protech cars limited, Aylesbury.
The car would benefit from a service on the gearbox, as I was advised by the owner of Protech cars, just as a preventive measure.
Front discs do have some groves in. I was planning to change the discs and pads on the front and do the gearbox service if I kept the car, again just as a preventive measure for peace of mind.
The rear pads do require replacement, which I aim to do before the car sells.
The reason for selling so soon is due to an unexpected company vehicle, which is due to arrive next week!I've always wanted a BMW X5 since a close friend of mine had a new one in 2003! I've not been in the position to buy one, until recently the opportunity came along.
This really is a lovely car to drive and is a cared for example example. It stands out for me because it's completely standard and original. The fact it has full BMW service history shows that the previous owner wanted the best for their car.
It's surprisingly agile for a big car. As with most BMW's it's definitely designed for drivers. You really notice this, especially when compared to other similar cars.
