MERCEDES SL 320 1994 MY '95 R129 with PERFECT ORIGINAL HARD TOP The SL R129 is still considered by many to be the best of the SL series produced to date. The styling, designed by Bruno Sacco, is combined with highly sophisticated mechanics, characterised by extensive use of electronics and advanced safety systems. Innovations include the automatically operated roll-bar, which pops out in a fraction of a second in the event of a rollover, and the electro-hydraulically operated soft top, which disappears into a special rear compartment. Also on the safety front is the ASR anti-skid system (which is managed in common with the ABS system) which acts firstly by lightly braking the skidding wheel and secondly by cutting the engine's power delivery. Also noteworthy are the magnesium-framed seats, which are also equipped with seat belts with an integrated seat body retractor. The car, offered in a splendid turquoise green, was produced in July 1994 (it was therefore part of the second series) and was registered in Nuremberg, where it remained until the end of 1996, as documented by the service carried out at 23836 km. It was then imported to San Marino and then in August 1997 imported to Italy in Coriano (RN). The car, which is 30 years old with the legal concessions provided, is in excellent condition, equipped with its original hard top. We have performed the coupon with general control in our workshop, it will be delivered with the periodic overhaul absolved. The 3199 231 hp 6-cylinder engine, combined with the automatic transmission, makes for a pleasant and smooth drive. A car destined to be a landmark in the future of historic cars, to be used willingly with an eye not only to the heart but also as an investment for the future.
