Description
Greeves Anglian 24TGS. First Registered on the 15th March 1966 to Invacar Ltd. Greeves. Church Road Thundersley. The first signature in the original buff log book is Derry Preston Cobb.
The bike remained at the Works for one year before being sold to Peter Vine, who was officially one of the first Works riders for Greeves .
Research and History shows that this was more than likely a Works bike, to have remained in Works ownership for twelve months, and also must have been one of the first bikes to use Ceriani Forks.
The bike was restored by a Greeves Specialist in the early 2000s . It has not been trialled since, but has been started and ridden short distances.
It is restored as standard even down to the original non folding footrests, and period Dunlop tyres.
Owner history from new, with original buff log book, continuation log books, and modern V5C Registration document.
There is also a large folder with many period Greeves articles and also correspondence from the Greeves Riders Association.
It would be very hard to find a more original, and un messed with Greeves Anglian than this.
Please feel free to call me with any questions you may have. I think the Anglian is such a lovely bike, and it was one of the last true British Trials Bike's .
The history of this bike is very interesting, and needs more research .
Being kept by the Works for 12 months and then being sold to they're first works rider Peter Vine who kept the bike for four years.
Beautifully restored with period spares , and a very useable bike for period trials , or a bit of Green Laning, or indeed park it in a nice warm garage and admire it!
