Description
First registered Dec 1951. This car is a splendid example of a rare, elegant Tickford drop head coupe. Chassis and engine No. 24375. Meticulously professionally maintained with a comprehensive history file including 38 MOT pass certificates since 1975. Current MOT to Oct 2025 with no advisories. Upgrades include wire wheels and front disc brakes, engine rebuild at 73, 891 miles (2009/ 10), new mohair hood (2014), electronic ignition (2019), steering idler box rebuild (2021) new front shock absorbers and suspension bushes (2021). Bodywork and original leather upholstery are in very good condition, considering the age of the car. Underneath, there is little evidence of oil leaks now that steering box and crankcase front cover leaks have been fixed. Chassis members have been cleaned and repainted recently. The car is garaged and is driven frequently in dry weather on local runs and to regional car shows and is a very reliable runner. Current mileage 86, 396. I purchased the car in 2019 at auction in Leominster. Being significantly older than the car and imminently in need of garage space, I want to pass the car to an enthusiast who will continue to maintain and enjoy it. The car has been re-sprayed twice to my knowledge and was originally burgundy, the same colour as the upholstery. In my opinion the car has been well maintained by its previous owners.
