Description
Reluctantly sellling my 1985, series three, XJ Jaguar 4. 2 after nearly eight years of ownership, and the priviledge of being only its second owner.
The car is a great example of 1980's executive motoring, always gaining attention wherever it goes. It's classic Jaguar look, style and drive is unique and destined to continue to become more collectable over the coming years.
I have taken great pleasure and pride in ownership, having had to qualify myself as an appropriate owner to the executor of the will of the original owner. The car is a special example and will bring much pleasure to the next (third) owner, as it has done me and my family since 2017.
My decision to sell is based purley on the amount of time we have to use the car, my aspiration is we sell to someone who is able to continue to use, maintain and love this car in the manner it has been used to over the last four decades. The Jaguar is in good order, not pristine, but a great example which has been well maintained mechanically, with a great interior and good bodywork/ paint, with only a small number of imperfections.
The maintentance folder is large, dating back to purchase invoice, original service book and subsequent maintenance record, original owners booklet and folder of invoices - including a year by year record of all works known created under my ownership.
In my opinion, the vehicle is in very good, useable condition.
