Next MOT due 25/ 04/ 2025, Having been born and raised in Canada, Morgan cars were something I could only admire from afar. However a move to the UK opened the door to visiting the factory and getting more immersed into the world of Morgan. It was around April of 2015 that I was told that there was a 4/ 4 80th Anniversary Edition that was just launched and just seeing the press photos sealed it for me.
The solid body coloured wheels, quad half bonnet straps, the leather extending down the door and all the other little details of the 80th ticked all the boxes. So much so I called Williams Automobiles and after a quick chat I placed a deposit on one, and all this before even driving one!
Having the chance to commission this car was pure joy and one of those moments you have to pinch yourself.
The car itself was more than I could have asked for and then some. I often find it's just as enjoyable to look at as it is to drive. The look down that bonnet and the louvers glistening in the sunlight is the best attidote when you need to unwind and forget all your worries.
It should be said that this car will make any journey an occasion and allow extra time for when you will be asked about it, if they can take a picture etc. It's one of those cars where it only garners admiration and enthusiasm from all.
