Description
Triking Type 1 long chassis. The donor parts for this car all came from a single source being a 1990 Guzzi California 950 having covered only 700 miles from new. Thus, together with the new components supplied by Triking, the car is virtually brand new unlike the majority of others based on well used motorcycles.
The 950 high torque carb. engine is recognised by Triking as being an ideal power plant for the car and adds to the concept of simplicity and freedom from complicated electronics as envisaged by the Triking's creator, Tony Divey.
Briefly, the car has completed about 150 miles from build and embodies the best available components including competition brakes, stainless front wheels, 15" rear wheel with Blockley tyre, stainless fuel tank, custom bodywork, QR steering wheel, reversing gearbox, Mahogany cabin trim etc,. This is my second Triking, the first being a Type 2 1100. It was a great car but this one is even better! Sadly, post accident, my wife can no longer exit the car without great difficulty and since it exists for both of us to enjoy, it is to be replaced by a car with doors!
