Mazda MX 5 Mk2 (NB) 1. 8 Turbocharged fully built (forged) engine. Full 12 months MOT.
Only 300 miles on the engine since it was rebored/ honed, new forged internals fitted and MTech turbo conversion with ME221 ECU and 2 stage boost control. Currently running 262 bhp on high, 200 bhp on low boost. Ready and capable of being easily remapped to 320-350 bhp – as advised by MTech. Approx £6k spent on the engine alone.
New hybrid TD04 turbo and cast manifold and custom stainless steel exhaust.
Forged Wiseco 84mm pistons. Forged Max Speeding Rods conrods.
Uprated 255l fuel pump and Siemans Deka 650cc fuel injectors.
MTECH Intercooler system.
Uprated valve springs. T R Lane roll bar.
Forge intercooler and new Japspeed twin core aluminium radiator. Additional fan fitted in case the engine is remapped to 300+bhp.
Gaz Pro Gold coilover shock absorbers.
Torsen limited slip differential fitted with spare standard diff and gearbox included.
New Roddison brake pads. RBF 600 high temp brake fluid. Front disc cooling ducting.
Many spares and extra wheels with good wet tyres and good Nankang NS2R track tyres. Drivers seat replaced with new Sparco Sprint bucket seat.
Exedy paddle clutch fitted but this is not particularly nice to drive with so I would advise changing it.
The roof has been replaced and usual sill rusty areas repaired. The car was registered CAT D but has been fully repaired with all damaged items replaced as above modifications and improvements. The engine is an extremely high spec rebuild and unlike most turbo conversions is capable of producing more power with just a remap. It has been a project I undertook to ease myself into retirement so has had many hours spent getting the mechanicals just right. The car's overall condition is pretty good for the age and with a little of bit more finishing will result in something really special. (New front number plate fitted after photos). I'm happy to provide more photos or a video of certain areas if required. The oil and filter has just been changed prior to the MOT so everything is ready to go.
