1989 Range Rover Classic Vogue SE, hard dash, 3. 5-litre fuel injected Rover (Buick) V8 with four-speed ZF automatic transmission. Four owners and 89, 000 miles from new.
This beautiful Range Rover Classic is finished in the rare cypress green metallic over a brown leather interior featuring handsome burr wood dashboard and door card inlays. A rare crossover model with pleated leather, better sound system, and deeper door cards which was only in production for 6 months.
The previous owner commissioned a comprehensive refurbishment of the car’s exterior, removing all the doors and door cards and respraying the inner shuts in the original satin black finish. The rubbers, grilles, bumper caps, scuttle, and vents were re-textured and refinished in satin black, and the bumpers were rubbed down, rust treated and resprayed. The wheel arches were rust proofed and resprayed, and the bodywork (including the entire roof) was resprayed in its factory colour with new stickers and a new coach line added. The wheels were refurbished in the body colour with the correct silver lip, and fitted with new polished billet wheel nuts before being refitted with highly commended BF Goodrich All Terrain Tyres in period correct size.
Factory equipment includes air conditioning, central locking, a heated rear screen, electric windows, electric sunroof, electrically adjustable door mirrors, and a dash-mounted clock. It has also had both electric seat controls refurbished and refitted. This example also benefits from the fitment of an aftermarket retro-styled Blaupunkt Frankfurt head unit with Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
Inside the cabin presents well, with light creasing but no discoloration or cracking on the leather seats and slight discolouration to the wood centre console trim. There are general signs of 35 years’ of use, but the original headlining is in very good order and the car has been used predominantly with seat covers from new.
Mechanically the car starts first time and drives beautifully. It has been serviced annually during my ownership regardless of mileage. Recently enjoyed a problem-free 400 mile round trip from Somerset to Rouen. Comes with fitted tow bar, two keys, the owner’s handbook, service booklet and a raft of invoices detailing the most recent work which includes a new alternator, new shocks and springs, exhaust and brakes.

I purchased this car from the prestigious Duke of London at the beginning of 2023 for a lot more money. Very sad to see it go, but change in personal circumstances means I am sadly looking for a quick sale.
