Description
This a Triumph Spitfire Mk4 convertible. TVW 851K was first registered 25th May 1972. Now 52 years old it is exempt from both road tax and MOT. It had an agreed insurance value in 2020 of £10, 000. The car was restored in the 90's and has a large history file containing old MOT's and invoices showing what was done then and since. A huge amount of money has been spent on the car. In the last 3 years it has had a full professional respray in a beautiful Metallic Royal Blue colour which looks fantastic. The exterior look is complemented with good chrome on the bumpers, wing mirrors and fuel cap and the fantastic silver knock on wire wheels x 5 shod in a matching set of almost new Goodyear 155/ 80R/ 13 tyres. The black soft top hood looks great and is in good order with a tonneau cover to cover when down. The underside of the car is in very good condition and has a nice light coating of stone chip to protect the car. Not a heavy coat of underseal to cover up things. It has a stainless steel exhaust system. Moving to the interior you find lovely upgraded leather thick padded comfy seats with good black carpets, Triumph over mats, GT6 style door cards, wooden dashboard with matching door cappings and radio surround, a MotoLita steering wheel, sun visors, inertia reel seatbelts, extra 12v socket and phone charger, and a period look modern stereo and Bluetooth system. The boot area is carpeted and has a hard case spare wheel cover along with the tools. Under the bonnet (which opens with gas struts) is nice and clean. The engine is in fine fettle with an unleaded head, electronic ignition, electric fan, new battery, upgraded modern fuse box, performance air cleaners and only this year a new clutch and a gearbox rebuild. It has also had new wipers, wheel cylinders, fuel pump, halogen headlamps, brake calliper, brake master, brake hoses, inlet manifold, fuel sender and a professional tune up. As you can see no expense has been spared and has resulted in a car that looks fantastic and drives very well.
