Description
Firstly, this is a project and it will not be possible to drive the car home (I have had a few enquiries asking this!).
It can drive very short distance but it was last properly driven on the road in 2019, it has Belgian registration but all documents are included for import (the car is at my home in Normandy, France).
I have highlighted the areas that need work on the car (see photo). To be completely honest, if you have experience restoring cars this is not a BIG restoration. The most difficult area would be right in front of the windscreen because the window will need to be removed for the repair. The floor is completely solid, the only areas that need attention are the outer skin of the rear wheel arches (the inside of the arches are perfect), the door bottoms and two small areas of rust near the hinges of the rear door hatch.
It has 47, 000 genuine miles on the clock, she’s a very rare “Medium Green” with green interior (in very good condition) and green tinted glass, very original, the only aftermarket piece is the wooden steering wheel.
The 2. 5L original 4 cylinder engine potentially has a timing issue that I can’t fix/ haven’t had the time to fix. I’m not a mechanic just an enthusiast, so I’m sure it is a simple fix with the right tools and knowledge. She starts and idles well, but after a while she can start splutter and eventually die - this could be a fuel flow issue as the Carburettor has vacuum control, and due to its age it likely has a lot of perished hoses (either that, or a fuel pump issue).
Many photos available.
