This example really offers a huge dose of nostalgia! Those floor mats.... The nodding dog on the parcel shelf... All you are missing is some travel sweets!
Finished in Barytes Brown which is more of a Bronze colour i would say, the bodywork is very presentable. Naturally is has various marks, evidence of previous paintwork and a bit of filler but you can forgive it especially as its approaching its 40th birthday. The rear portions of the sills have been welded previously. The underside is amazingly solid, there is no rust holes etc. I have put up some photos from when it was lifted up on the ramp
The interior takes you back to the mid 80's, the Chocolate patterned velour is in fantastic condition and is very comfortable. The floor mats were courtesy of the previous owner and i just had to keep them!
It runs and drives really well and is ready for a new owner to enjoy. It has recently had a pair of NOS front brake calipers and a brand new set of tyres. Has just passed its MOT and has 12 months remaining
It has only had 4 previous owners spanning 39 years and 73k miles. Comes with lots of paperwork documenting work done over the years going way back into the 80's and even the original and subsequent extended service book is still with the car. Interestingly included is a bill of sale from 1986 where the new owner traded in their 1979 Bedford CF Motor Caravan to buy the then 11 month old Carlton at £7095. 00
Original spare wheel and tools remain in the boot along with a spare fan belt which has been in there since day 1
