Imported this car from Florida in 2015 with the intention of using it in Europe to watch the F1 races. A better car than the 1 series.
The car was restored in 2022 by Lotus South West, UK covering complete engine rebuild including cam belt and other main belts and hoses at a cost of £9244. Further miscellaneous car parts costing £6, 147 were also installed. At the time, the mileometer showed 26527 miles – record available. A complete respray in black was done in 2023 costing £18, 964 by South West Lotus. Front and back USA style bumpers were replaced with European specification parts along with the spoiler. All receipts available.
After spending £35, 000, the car looks immaculate. The original leather seats were not replaced as they are in good condition but the door cards have been replaced.
The car is located in the South West of England and has been kept in a dehumidified garage since 2015. Genuine reason for sale due to house move and reducing Lotus collection. Originally exported from the UK to Canada in 1978 and owner moved to Florida. I bought the car with a low mileage in 2015 and have spent over £35000 over the last two years via Lotus specialists to bring it up to its present condition as can be seen in the pictures.
