RARE Unique example Healthy car, completely restored in 1992 CIME 4-cylinder (Compagnie Industrielle des Moteurs à Explosion) 1203 cm3 engine developing 35 bhp and 105 km/ h Ford T Type min A2 chassis Bourack and Decostier bodywork with no corrosion Complete car to be put back on the road as it is stored in a museum. Normal registration document (not a collector's item). Société Française de Vente et Location Automobile set up its factory and garages at 18 avenue de Villiers in Levallois-Perret. The company buys and rents cars, but also assembles its own vehicles, either on its own or to order, using parts purchased from local parts manufacturers. This was the case with our roadster, built from a Ford T chassis and an engine purchased from Cime. The distributor of these Cime engines for the Paris region was Maurice Poytet & Cie, 40 rue des petits champs in Paris 2e. Most of the production was fitted to EHP or Jean-Gras four-cylinder cars, or to Amilcar or Derby six-cylinder units. In 1927, an EHP with a 1, 094 cm³ Cime engine came 7th in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Our SFVLA-Cime therefore had a Cime four-cylinder block of 1, 203 cm³, developing 35 bhp and reaching 105 km/ h, under the Mine A2 type. The bare chassis and engine assembly was then entrusted to Bourack & Decostier. The car was homologated and approved as a single vehicle by the Service des Mines in November 1929. Acquired by the current owner in 1982 from an Alsatian car museum between Colmar and Mulhouse, the car was used very often by the couple during rallies after a general restoration. It was then entrusted to the Musée Automobile de Reims-Champagne for over two decades, during which time it was pampered and exhibited many times at classic car shows. The car has been in pristine condition since its restoration in 1982. The bodywork shows no corrosion but could do with a good paint job. The black leather bench seat is still in its original state and could do with a thorough overhaul. The car is totally complete. As the vehicle has been on display in the museum for several decades without being run, it will need to be carefully restarted before being put back on the road. The vehicle is registered. It is being sold as is and without a roadworthiness test.
