I bought this bike in 2013 from LINCOLNSHIRE MUSEUM in bits with quite a lot missing. I am a member of the AJS & MATCHLESS CLUB.
I set to and rebuilt it in 2022 to 2023, registered it in Aug 2023.
I have riden it for 2385 miles and it goes really well in sun and heavy rain, It needs to go to a miltary enthusiast for it to be shown to its full potential. The frame is perfect the tank is solid but has a few dings the front mudguard is solid with a few dents. the engine and gearbox are fine, the lights are LED 6volt and the dynamo charges.
I have fitted a 7inch front brake and has new shoes front and back and it stops well, I have still got the original 5-1/ 2 inch front wheel and fork leg. I fitted two Dunlop K70 tyres.
