The car comes with a HSCC Vif to run in the Historic Touring Cars series Group B class and has competed mostly in the HRDC Classic Alfa Romeo series running with a 2. 0 litre engine. Also welcomed in CMMC, CSCC and many other historic race series.
The list of race parts and modifications for competitive use in historic racing is contained in a very large file but briefly the main elements are:
Fully rebuilt Nord race engine by Bob Dove Motorsport (the acknowledged 'guru' of racing Alfas) with strengthened bottom end, race pistons, oil cooler, twin 45 DCOE Webers (Italian not Spanish), fully rebuilt 5 speed gearbox with close ratio 4th 5th, fully rebuilt limited slip differential, two sets of alloy wheels one with Toyo R888R semis and the other Toyo Proxes for wet races, fibreglass quick release lift-off bonnet, fibreglass boot lid, drilled and lightened doors, perspex side and rear windows, sliders, 6 point rollcage with cross bracing and side bars, uprated and lowered adjustable suspension featuring quick steering arms, GTA adjustable top links, Bilsteins/ Konis, competition front anti roll bar, lower and stiffer front spings, rev limiter, uprated gauges, uprated larger front brake calipers and Ferrodo racing pads front and back, large capacity aluminium radiator with electric fan, fully plumbed in OMP fire extinguisher system (serviced 2024 and certified to 2026), new 6 point harness valid to 2029, etc etc.
The car would suit both novice or experienced drivers as the handling is very forgiving and predictable.
Last raced at Silverstone October 2024 and completely ready to go again!
The car was originally sourced from dry climate Cyprus and imported to the UK in 2014, thereafter completely dismantled, restored where required and prepared for racing.
