Description
1952 Silver Wraith with Coachwork by Hooper (1 of 2 made) 4 light Touring Limo with Driving and Passenger Seating (non division).
Slick original colors, two tone gray with matching interior.
Seats are excellent shape, leather conditioned, door cards very nice, headliner very nice, one small stain.
Brightwork in great shape and complete.
Attractive combination of Hooper curves below the waistline with razor edge design cues above.
Only 4 ever built with this body, and only 2 with normal front seats (the other 2 have division and fixed chauffeur bench).
Completely restored woodwork shows like new. Suicide doors have perfect symmetry and open/ close like new. Car is well sealed, no wind noise noticed.
Exact car featured and photo’d in the famous Dalton book as an example of excellence in Hooper design.
Runs and drives tight, no valve noise, warm up mode excellent settles down to sewing machine calmness, manual transmission is short throw and shifts very well, one of the best shifting cars I've driven.
Fresh clutch, fresh brake servo, brake overhaul including replacement of master cyl, new twin SU fuel pumps, handles and stops very well, and is totally reliable for use often or long tours.
Previous RREC Euro tour history. Mileage is only 42, 200!
Provenance includes movies, Dudley Moore, Buckingham Palace, royals, and more!
Avid Collector and Engineer owner has loved the car.
Selling (along with Silver Spur) to make room for an incoming car.
Located in Mass. Collection worthy, again 1 of only 2 made.
Mechanically way above average, ready to go the distance. Reliable, straight, low miles, ready for touring immediately as it is.
