Selling my 1963 Ford Consul Classic
1500cc Pre Cross-Flow
4 on the floor
Fully original interior (door card backings have been replaced) in fantastic condition except drivers seat - has a tear in it
Pictures are all taken November 2024. I also have lots of in-depth walk-round videos of the car inside out, even took the door cards off so you can see inside the doors are like brand new all round. I can send links for these at request no problem.
Had a fair few new bits on the engine as she just stopped running right one day - After hours and lots of money spent a good friend discovered it was just a condenser…
Fresh callipers from Big Redd, new pads, new brake & clutch cylinders, new brake components on the rear, new fuel pump, new rad hoses & thermostat housing. Carb was sent off and professionally reconditioned & set.
Very minimal rust and lots of originality
Externally there was a quick blow-over paint job a few years ago just to help protect from the elements as I believe the previous owner had started rubbing down any imperfections it had picked up. It’s suffered a little since then but considering it’s been in the elements for years it’s done amazingly well.
Car is a very light project even for an amateur. I sadly don’t have time anymore with my work load & lifestyle.
Front bumper is present with all new fixings but could do with tidying up. It’s solid but the chrome has failed in areas.
Wheels are 15” banded Hillman husky. 7” front and 8” rears, tyres have held air for years never leaking once.
Although I’ve had the car best part of 8 years I’ve never actually registered it in my name. I do have paperwork for the car including an old logbook which I managed to use to tax the car once with
