Description
Welcome to the sale of my 1972 Triumph X75 Hurricane which I have been proud to own & ride for the last 8 years covering some 1500 miles. This is one of the early models dating 7th September 1972 & is 5 speed. It was brought back from the USA in 2010 by the previous owner who came across it in a Harley dealership in Arizona having only 1 owner. This bike is about as unrestored as it gets with 11500 miles on the clock, I have merticuasly maintained it with only essential sensibe improvements to keep it in preservation order. The motor hasn’t been apart other than a new clutch, the frames not been painted only sensible fettling in the right places to make it a reliable/ usable classic, it boasts replacement Hi Grade UK made alloy yokes which are stronger & have the casting numbers underneath. I replaced the headstock bearings with a taper roller conversion, rebuilt the front forks with new seals keeping the original stanchions ( no leaks), the front brake is set up correctly & stops, new front & rear wheel bearings, new Reynolds rear chain & Hagon shocks, the carburettors are rebuilt with the Burlen stay up float & needle valve kit & are still painted grey unique to the Hurricane, it also boasts a NOS wiring loom with electronic ignition, no botched connectors, as you can see in the photos it has the original HT leads, Fiamm horn , exhaust pipes & silencers, please note the super rare deeper shape headlamp bracket as seen in the 1973 sales brochure for easy access to the light switch ( when did you last see one of these)? Only pattern part is a rear wheel rim replacement, it’s not part of a collection, it’s been ridden not hidden, starts first kick , sounds awesome . I’m more than happy to answer any questions as I could go on all day… No test rides unless all monies transferred into my account , no overseas buyers, collection only.. - details above
