Description
Selling due to bereavement, the Jaguar is in good overall condition with extensive history and documented (mot certificates) mileage since 1970, the late owner paid almost £25k two years ago.
It's had a wire wheel refurbishment and new tyres around 10 years ago costing £1300. Turns heads everywhere it goes but the paint does require finishing, the late owner sprayed the car but died before cutting and polishing.
Mechanically it is in excellent condition as expected from the low mileage, there is also no rot or evidence of repair to the chassis, inspection is welcomed. Trafficator indicators still work, it also has flashing indicators fitted.
Interior is worn but complete, it's a 77 year old car! The original tool kit and a period fire extinguisher are also there. Chrome is good, there is some minor pitting but it polishes up well. All locks are good and on a single key.
I am also including a Brian James twin axle car trailer in the price, if you don't want it I'll reduce the price by £1000.
So come have a look, get an absolute bargain of a historic car. Bought new in 1947, this car was passed from father to son and then to the church organist, it didn't leave the village of Bishop Stortford for the first 50 years.
Huge history file, receipts, mot certificates, the original invoice, Jaguar guarantee and the Buff logbook are there with several handbooks and manuals.
It's an absolute hoot to drive, starts on the button and pulls nicely.
