Description
It's time for me to part with my 1993 Yamaha XJR 400, which I've had the pleasure of owning since 2017. Currently, it's ridden by my wife, who is 5'2" and finds it a perfect fit. As a classic bike, the insurance is very affordable at just £88 per year. Plus, it’s ULEZ compliant, making it ideal for London rides.
The bike has been well-maintained, with the carbs recently refurbished and Dyno-tuned to meet ULEZ emission standards. Other recent updates include new front brake rotors, fresh pads and seals for both front and rear brakes, and refurbished front forks. The front and rear sprockets, chain, and aftermarket rear shocks have also been replaced. An oil and filter change was done just a few miles ago.
The bike comes with 7 months of MOT, and while the speedometer is in kilometers (with a miles overlay sticker), there is an inconsistency in the MOT mileage history due to a replacement speedometer. The estimated total mileage is around 26, 000 miles.
It's a fantastic bike
