Description
Final price reduction £4, 750 - Very rare World War 2 Royal Enfield WD/ CO 350 side valve with copy documentation from the National Motorcycle Museum to confirm this bike was part of an original order placed by the War Office in May 1940 for a total of 6000 units (see one sample document within the additional pictures now added) This bike one of the early builds for the Military. After the War then sold off as a civilian bike & as such registered as a historic bike in April 1946 & repainted way back then, is original & unrestored (I have the V5 in my name)
In the last few years in my ownership I have kept its patina, just checked the mechanics, has fresh oil & a new battery. Usually starts first or second kick (hidden electronic ignition, which can be reverted back to original) with absolutely no smoke or rattles, (sounds great). In fact runs too well not to have had an engine rebuild some time in its life (checked the cyclinder head & valves to confirm - see pics) may want additional tinkering dependent on how fussy you are, but I have been very happy with it as it is.
Sadly due to my ill health it sis time to let her go to a new owner to look after & keep this piece of history. Viewing is highly recommended I am available most of the timeA piece of World War Two history that can only appreciate in value Ideal Exhibition bike (current valuation via KGM £7, 500) Final reduction price now £4, 750.
