Description

Restored smart & sound 1970 Morris Minor 1000 , 1098cc, its the rarer
4 door model , Light blue in colour , but the official colour is called smoke grey, with a blue interior,

Although MOT exempt, & zero payment historic vehicle road tax class , the car has an MOT until Dec 2024

The bodywork has all metal panels & overall its a very smart car, the blue bodywork is bright & has a good shine ,
The underside of the car is also in very good condition, no suspiciously large amounts of underseal , just a light coating of under body protective sealant I have also taken some pics of the interior floor pan, which is very sound , i have included a couple of those in the pics
.
The engine bay is in very good tidy order & the mechanics of the car have been good for me , the engine is reliable & a willing starter , new points , rotor arm , condenser fitted at the end of last year . i have also replaced the speedo cable, as it was working intermittently, & i have just replaced the water pump , as the bearing was becoming a bit noisy .
The gearbox is fine when gear changing , and doesnt jump out of any gears, the clutch also works as it should , with no slipping , & is not high on the engaging point . there is no whining from the back axle
The original drum brakes work as they should , but you have to be mindful that you are driving a 55 year old car, with less advanced technology

The interior is in great condition , and a lovely place to be, the seats and door cards are very smart , ditto the headlining, & the heater works fine. all door locks and the boot lock, are working as they should.
She is not a trailer queen, & does have the odd small blemish here and there, but no dents or scrapes, its a very smart , good usable example that can and has held its own at classic car get togethers , and got many admiring comments .
The car had comprehensive restoration work by an enthusiast , around 5 years ago.
It then passed on to a chap that has a cossetted collection of many and varied classic cars , due to health related changes in circumstances he had to thin out his collection, and thats when i bought her last year .

So to sum up , i have enjoyed owning this car, and will be sorry to see her go but i am looking for a traveller , & dont have the space ( or funds !! ) for both.

The above is my opinion of the car , but im no expert , so i would strongly recommend coming and having a look , to make up your own mind.

She is a 55 years old car , so to cover myself she is sold with no guarantees implied or given, but with the reassurance to a prospective buyer that she carries a currant MOT.

Anyhow , get in contact if interested, I cannot always take calls on my mobile , so text me a message & i will get back to you, as opposed to leaving a message as my mobile message service is very unreliable. . Good fun to own, zero road tax cost , £100 a year car insurance. Great car if you like being smiled at , waved at , and let out into traffic !!. Used regularly, driving well, Good fun to own, zero road tax cost , £100 a year car insurance. Great car if you like being smiled at , waved at , and let out into traffic !!.
