For Sale my 1947 Singer 9 tourer = which is a stalled restoration.
The car comes with numerous new/ old stock parts
- new front wings in primer - new rear wings in primer- new running boards in primer
- new front screen and chrome surround - new complete exhaust - new front and rear bumpers.
Radiator has been recored - grill and bonnet side decals-headlamps all re chromed - together with
new brake linings - new clutch - recon gearbox and overhauled engine.
New main wiring loom + front and rear seats recovered in light blue leather. Original clocks and wood dash plus a new wood dash
and a roll of new carpet for the floor.
Doors-boot and body have been stripped - original bonnet in good condition requires stripping.
The long Ash wood side runners are new as is the front scuttle Ash wood which is mostly complete. Some of the rear Ash
wood has been 1st cut - ready for shaping and fitting and there is some original old rear wood to use as a pattern for making
the remainder together with a set of drawings and some Ash wood.
There is a hood and frame - 5 wheels and four good tyres and many other parts required for the completion of this fine car.
There is an original letter from the Singer O. C 1991 stating the car was originally allotted 31/ 12/ 1947 to Fisher Simmonds
of Johannesburg South Africa.
The original buff log book stamped in Liverpool August 1952 is presumably where it was shipped back too. It then went to 4 owners all in Silloth -
the 4th owner registering the car in 1964. I also have a V5c in my name - the DVLA confirmed the reg number is on their system
and will be re-issued when applied for.
