Description
CHASSIS No. 4 XK120 FHC RHD 3. 4 Manual
Very early model Jaguar in near Concours Condition
Maintained by Jaguar XK Model Experts CMC & Guy BroadMy XK120 was built in Dec 1952 and shipped to Sagers of Bulawayo Jaguar Dealership in Rhodesia in Feb 1953.
The car is believed to be first owned by John Love, racing driver from southern Africa and owner of Jaguar D Type/ E type. Purportedly Jaguar had the early cars go to racing drivers.
This original RHD car was brought back to the UK and underwent a meticulous and very expensive restoration. Bodywork by Leaping Cats, Engine by Dave Butcher, Interior by Tom Hampton and paint by Brookfield.
This car is of significant in the XK120 history especially the 192 RHD FHC's built. Jaguar Scrapped prototype 699001; 669002 the Montlhery car is in the Gaydon Jaguar Heritage museum, and 669003 with world leading XK expert P. Porter. This 4th car is the 2nd car to ever be sold to a private individual.
I keep the car in a humidified garage at home. V5 in my name. 1000 miles since restoration.
I have spent £22k in the last 18 months with CMC Bridgnorth and Guy Broad to service the car and upgrade items like disc brakes, alternator, high torque starter, header tank, ceramic paint protection, etc. Rolling road tune up with Aldon Automotive.
Buckets seats and also driver seat goes back further than normal for long legged drivers
Any original parts will come with the car
Large history folder with receipts and photos.
The pictures show the car at CMC and at home... (Photo's do not show the true beauty and cannot do the car justice)
