Description
Can’t believe I’m actually doing this. This is my stunning 1967 Volvo P1800S manual with overdrive in gun metal grey. Owned for 15 years and fully restored this year July 24. Previously owned by a person of notoriety. This 6 year restoration which has had all metals either replaced or refurbished and has No rust at all. See photographs attached. All mechanical and electrical works have been completed with everything working as it should. The car’s originality has been maintained where possible with matching engine to chassis numbers. New fuel tank - sender - pipes - fuel pump - new suspension bushes all round - new alternator - battery - refurbished wheels and brightwork- replacement but original Smiths Speedometer. Original still available. All electrics have been either refurbished or replaced ensuring all working order. The engine being original is in great condition with all new fluids - oils - gaskets replaced. The twin carburettors have been tuned with the cars power output being checked and confirmed good on a rolling road. This iconic 60’s classic car drives superbly catching attention wherever it goes. Passing smoothly through all the gears around town, plus when needed keeping up with modern day traffic with using overdrive.
I chose this special car 15 years ago wanting to improve it to the best of my abilities, never wanting a show car moreover a very good example working driving classic. Having gone further than I intended in its development it’s been a pleasure to have owned in improving this fabulous car for its next owner. There remains plenty of improvement areas for its next owner if they so wish however it’s the fundamentals of the car are right.

The car is currently dry stored. I bought this car as love the 60’s, Great style, great design and good music. This car totally represents and embodies that era and simply is so dam cool. Having looked for some time I came across the car in Henley Upon Thames in London. Only advertised for a short time with much interest and competition, I was permitted to view and drive the car at the owners estate where upon seeing the car I immediately fell in love. Being an automotive design engineer for over 30 years my passion and commitment to improving the car I can only assume came through. The previous owner called the car “Vixen”
