Description
This Sprint is a really good example of a late model cloverleaf 1. 7. I did buy it to keep but now I have another project ( 33 ) requiring funds, it was off the road in dry storage for about 14 years.
I have completed some rust repairs to the sills and applied cavity wax to all box sections and stone chip protection.
The seats I have had recovered in a black / grey woven material similar to original just a different colour. Interior is very tidy, the radio is a later unit.
Someone fitted central locking and power windows which work well. Sunroof was fitted by the dealers I believe when new.

The paint is very tidy, only a few small blemishes to the eye.
The floor and chassis is rust free and in excellent condition.
The engine I have removed the heads, had the valves re-seated and heads skimmed, reassembled with all new gaskets, belts tensioners and water pump. Carburetors cleaned and overhauled too. New Radiator just fitted and new 123 electronic distributor fitted.
It drives really well indeed, engine is strong , gearbox smooth.
It has a current NZ WOF and is registered here.
27, 700 miles on the clock but probably second time round.

You will struggle to find a RHD 1. 7 8v sprint in such good order for the price.
Note I have sourced the rear wiper and will fit this next week, the steering wheel is scruffy so I have sourced an early model type to replace. The car also comes with a lot of spares and an original Zender rear spoiler in black.
Note the rear wiper is now also fitted , I'll update the photos. 3 owners in NZ last owner owned it for 12 months was going to restore it but didn't, I purchased it from him in August this year and carried out the work on the car.
