Description
A rare low mileage example of the early 4. 2 C5 Audi Quattro Sports Saloon (now a classic) finished in "racing" green with black leather interior. Current registered owner since February 2000 and garaged since then (two previous owners AFN and a private owner). In early 2015 the car was hit while stationary at a junction. This resulted in a Category C "write off" (uneconomic repair) by the insurance company. With only 74, 000 miles on the clock and the car having been lovingly maintained, this seemed crazy so we bought the car back off the insurance company and the car was repaired by John Bowles VW Audi Specialist of Sevenoaks, Kent and his preferred local bodyshop using parts from a donor S6 Audi; n/ s front wing, bonnet, front bumper and passenger side front headlight. There is a full service history available and MOT to April 2025. For the first three years, servicing was carried out by local Audi dealerships (AFN and Gatwick Audi); in the subsequent years (to date) servicing has been carried out by John Bowles VW Audi Specialists. Two new cam belts (2008 and 2015). 2018 - new Bi-Xenon projectors in both headlight units. Recently (October 2024) new front discs and pads and driver side front calliper fitted. Specification includes anti-lock brakes, airbags, 18' competition alloy wheels, central locking, climate control, driver information system, cruise control, electric seats, electric windows, engine immobiliser, headlamp wash, power steering, sports seats, sports suspension, traction control, xenon headlights, satellite navigation plus, steering wheel with tiptronic controls, wood inlay, front centre armrest, bose speaker sound system, radio/ 6-cd player and TV (now no analogue tv service available), split rear seat, sunroof and tiptronic gearbox. 2 keys and 2 basic keys for recovery. A rare example of the classic Audi A6 4. 2 Quattro with a full service history and receipts. Serviced annually together with an annual MOT. The bodywork is in very good condition reflecting the fact that it has been continually garaged by the current owner from February 2000. Engine and drive train with less than 8500 miles is in good condition providing a smooth satisfying drive. Two new cambelts, the first in 2008 and second following the 2015 accident to take advantage of the strip down before repair repair of the bonnet and passenger front wing.
