Built from the ground up by PROJECT 88, using all new / fully refurbished components this car has been finished to the highest standard.

Finished in Marine Blue, with custom Tweed seats. You can spec this car to have any colour seats / canvas configuration your prefer, as well as other specification options.

Below is a breakdown of key elements contributing to this build.

Underside
New galvanised chassis from Richards Chassis.

Rebuilt front diff and axle. Rebuilt rear diff and axle. Both have had new seals, gaskets, and hub bearings. New sump plugs in both front and rear diffs.

New swivel seals on the front. Both axles have been stripped back to bare metal and repainted with Manor zinc phosphate primer and chassis black paint.

Two new prop shafts, painted to match the underside's black colour.

New springs and shock absorbers all round.

New suspension shackles, spring bolts, and shock bolts, all zinc-plated gold.

New front heavy-duty steering arms and ball joints, zinc-plated gold.

New gearbox and transfer box gaskets.

Zinc-plated gold bolts throughout the underside.

New stainless steel exhaust, gaskets, and hangers.

New brake lines, flexi pipes, wheel cylinders, and unions throughout.

Reconditioned sump with zinc-plated gold bolts.

New 9. 5-inch friction plate and pressure plate along with a new master and slave cylinder and lines.

Rebuilt handbrake.

Engine
The engine was rebuilt to tolerance, including new gaskets throughout.

New fuel pump.

New ignition system, including distributor, points, condenser, plugs, leads, and coil.

New Auto Sparks wiring loom.

New brake reservoir.

Reconditioned brake, clutch, and throttle pedals and assemblies.

Reconditioned air box and battery tray.

New Bosch battery and earth strap.

Reconditioned oil inlet pipe, breather, and air inlet.

New water pipes and Jubilee clips.

Reconditioned radiator.

Reconditioned throttle linkage.

Zinc-plated bonnet latch.

New radiator and oil filler caps.

Soda-blasted rocker cover with zinc-plated bolts.

New Weber carburettor.

Zinc-plated bulkhead support.

Original galvanised components stripped, dipped, and re-galvanised.

Headlights replaced with sealed beam units, including new bowls and loom. Sidelights, indicators, and brake lights are new.

Hood replaced with Exmoor Trim in sand colour, complete with a new frame and hood sticks.

New front chrome light bezels.

New front seats trimmed in-house in Harris Tweed and brown leather.

The steering column was stripped, cleaned, painted, and reassembled with new bearings, grease, and gaskets.

New high-range/ low-range and 4x4 gear knobs.

New gear knob.

New gear gaiter rubber.

New handbrake rubber.

New high-range/ low-range rubber.

New rubber front mats.

New PROJECT 88 rear teak deck.

Reconditioned original steering wheel.

Paint and Panels
This car was painted in pieces by the same bodyshop that paints the Reborn cars for JLR Classic.

Many of the panels were replaced, and only perfect panels were retained. All panels were fully prepared and painted in DG Marine Blue, flatted back, and finished to a high standard.

Key panels replaced included:

Bulkhead: Galvanised bulkhead fitted.
Near-side and off-side doors.
Rear tub, which was lined to achieve a pin-perfect smooth finish.
Floor panels.
Mudguards/ inner wings.
Near-side and off-side lower sills.
Partial seat box.
