Description
This MGB GT was my dad's pride and joy. I bought it him as a retirement present and it gave us both many hours of joy. Sadly, he fell ill two years ago with pneumonia and never really recovered. I bought this car as a retirement present for my dad, from another villager whose mobility meant he could no longer enjoy it, he loved seeing dad and I drive it around the area.
Being a 1978 registration, it is vintage so does not require an MOT or road tax but until two years ago we ensured it was looked after by our local garage (and my dad was an engineer, specialising in engines....)Dad and I kept his car tucked up in the garage, we ensured that the battery charged up and bought all new tyres last year in the hope of enjoying summer trips around The fens together. Sadly, it was not to be. After two years in the garage, it still starts first time and I took it out on short trips around our village, but the paintwork needs some TLC since my dad has been unable to keep on top of those types of jobs, the radio needs fixing up and the car needs some general TLC - all jobs he was meaning to do. It needs a good home where another MG family can enjoy it too. Please do come and take a look, it breaks my heart to see it locked up when it should be being enjoyed, work on it over the winter and then enjoy it in the spring.
