For Sale: 1914 Premier 6/ 48 Raceabout – A True American Motorsport Legend
Registration (UK) SV6105 Plus German Papers
Chassis no 10700
Originally built in Indianapolis, the heartland of American motorsport, this 1914 Premier 6/ 48 Raceabout embodies the spirit of elite racing from its era. Designed for both racing legends and gentlemen drivers alike.
This stunning Raceabout is powered by an impressive 6-cylinder 7000cc T-head engine, dating from 1914, producing 100+ horsepower at a mere 1400 rpm, easily achieving speeds over 75 mph (130 kph). The power is through a period-correct gearbox and shaft drive to the rear axle, which is suspended by cantilever springs and equipped with a custom 14" 3:1 crown-wheel and pinion.
Fully Rebuilt by its previous owner in the mid-1990s and cautiously improved, this Premier has racing success within the highly competitive VSCC Light Car & Edwardian Race series in the UK. It's also eligible for prestigious events such as the VSCC, Goodwood Revival and Members Meeting Edwardian Race.
With its minimalist design, featuring only an oval windscreen for weather protection, this Premier embodies the raw, thrilling spirit of early motorsport. It's as exhilarating on the track as it is on a scenic Sunday drive—a real enthusiasts car.
