Description
I bought this almost a year ago from Peter Raw in Yorkshire. (If you don't know who Peter is. He's THE go to guy for Saabs in the north of the UK.) After I stupidly wrote off my previous 9-5 Aero.
This is no ordinary Aero. The colour is called beige. But, it really looks like a light metallic gun metal colour. It looks good. Apologies that the photos don't do it justice. As well as the money spent on performance parts. The ECU has a stage 3+ remap. According to an invoice. This has been my daily driver for a year and I can tell you that I've surprised lots of drivers of performance cars off the line and all the way 'up to' the national speed limit. This isn't 'my thing' but occasionally you get the urge. I have a Granturismo 4. 2 and the Saab feels like eight tenths of the performance. For a tenth of the price. It is a superb sleeper car.
I have the book pack, V5, MoT, 2 keys and a big folder of invoices etc that looks like all the paperwork going back to 2005. Certainly everything that the last two owners did and as you can see in the photos. That was a lot. It has Saab ICE & Sat Nav. I put uprated halogen bulbs in. Which have really helped night time driving.
It could do with some minor paint bubbling on a wheel arch being taken care of.(see photo) Bits of road rash etc. And a machine polish. There's a full size spare tyre and all the others have several mm of tread.
Unfortunately, I've been very ill for many years and especially this past year. Frankly, I need something that's not as fast.
I've just reinsured it, so if I don't get what the car is worth. I'll keep it and tidy it up a bit. A mate has something a bit more sedate to sell, which is why I'm advertising it now.
I'm on the North Coast of Northern Ireland. Its less than an hour to the Stena ferry terminal in Belfast. (Cairn Ryan or Liverpool) If you don't want to collect it. I'll put it on the ferry for you as freight. Same cost as driving it yourself roughly. You pick it up when the ferry docks, with an ID. The MoT is up in December, so if I can, I'll have it serviced and MoT'd before then.
This is a very honest. Very fast Saab 9-5 and the sound of the bespoke exhaust turns heads in slow traffic, almost like a V8. I bought it from THE most trusted source of Saabs in the UK.
The paperwork that came with it lists everything done for years.
Its a highly unusual colour.
Given how it looks and the performance modifications done.
It could be the ultimate sleeper car. Yet, if you are gentle with your right foot. It will only sip petrol.
